MVFD started hosting a Junior Fire Fighter Day in 2002 and every year with the help
of local businesses and individuals it has gotten larger and larger.  All of the
educational material is ordered from the National Fire Protection Agency.  The NFPA
uses a mascot called Sparky The Fire Dog to help get the word out to the kids.
