The Falls County Weather Watch is a part of the Falls County Volunteer
Firefighter's Association.  All of the volunteer fire departments in Falls
County aid in weather spotting.  Jerry Loden of Westphalia VFD and
Rodney Hall of Chilton VFD operate weather stations from their homes.
Jerry and Rodney advise the fire departments throughout the county of
any adverse weather conditions.  They also activate the storm spotters
that relay real-time weather conditions back to the weather stations.  The
Falls Co. Weather Watch stays in constant contact with the National
Weather Service in Fort Worth and with surrounding counties.  The use of
public safety radios as well as amateur radios is essential for the program
to operate effectively.
